Obituary of Anna M Kovalick

Anna M. Kovalick, 75, of Luzerne passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Township. Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Ungvarsky Zluky. Anna was a graduate of Luzerne High School, Class of 1952. Prior to her retirement, she was an administrative assistant for Luzerne County Transportation Authority. Anna was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, and Ladies Pennsylvania Slovak Catholic Union. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and brother, Michael Zluky. Surviving are a daughter, Jo Ann Stesney, Edwardsville; sons, Joseph Kovalick, Luzerne; Dr. Michael Kovalick, Dallas; grandchildren, April Stesney, Melissa Caputo, Michael Kovalick Jr., Andrew Kovalick; sister, Helen Dicton and her husband, James, Shavertown; brother, Stephen Zluky and his wife, Mar Kay, Whitehouse, N.J.; and nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with the Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne.
