Obituary of Frances K. Strenfel
Frances K. Strenfel, 87, of Courtdale, passed away Monday at Manor Care in Kingston.
Born in Larksville, she was a daughter of the late Teofil and Marie Cupryk Kijek. Prior to her re-tirement, she was employed by Duplin Silk Mill, Kingston. She was a member of Holy Name/St. Mary's Church, Swoyersville.
She was preceded in death by sons Carl W. Strenfel Jr. and Frederick Strenfel; brothers Peter Ki-jek, Theodore Kijek, John Kijek; and sister Julia Potera.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Carl Strenfel; daughter-in-law Carol Strenfel; granddaughter Melissa; and sister Helen Suda, of Kingston.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with Deacon George Mochin Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Thursday, from 9 a.m. until time of service.
