Obituary of Clara Bugay

Clara I. Bugay March 7, 2013 Clara I. Bugay, 84 of Meadows Nursing Home passed away on Thursday March 7, in Dallas. Born in Luzerne she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Catherine Kavetski Bugay. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School, class of 1945. Prior to her retirement she was employed at Leslie Fay as a presser for many years. She was a devout catholic, member of Holy Family Parish, the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and long time member of the choir. She loved to fish, even from her wheel chair she had her own pole and love to fish the pond at the Meadows Apartments, also gardening and was very generous to her family and church. She was preceded in death my brothers, Norman, Raymond, Zigmund Bugay and John Golembeski and sisters, Helen Stravinski, Violet Kovalchick and Jennie Stankowski. She is survived by sister, Phyllis Bednar of Dallas, also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc. 568 Bennett St. Luzerne with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne with Rev. Michael Zipay officiating. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
